GS-CIT (Goa State – Certificate in Information Technology) is an AI-powered IT literacy course brought to the people of Goa through a Memorandum of Understanding between the Human Resource Development Foundation (HRDF) Society, Government of Goa, and MKCL.
In the 21st century, most new actionable knowledge is being digitally born, digitally stored, digitally presented, digitally distributed, digitally accessed, digitally archived and managed. It has become an essential part of one's personal, professional and social life, transforming the way we live. A large section of society is threatened with being left behind by this shift — not only by the Digital Divide, but now also by the AI Divide between those who can put rapidly advancing technology to use and those who cannot. GS-CIT attempts to bridge this gap through IT awareness, literacy, functionality and applicability, powered by Artificial Intelligence, among the common people of Goa. This makes a positive impact on one's job-readiness and self-confidence, enabling learners to work effectively in the 21st-century workplace and grow as employees or entrepreneurs.
This Course Comprises of:
- eLearning-based self-learning sessions through MKCL's 3C LMS, accessed on a dedicated computer at the learner's centre.
- Hands-on, perform-based learning — do-it-yourself exercises, activities and mini-projects, following an "inform-to-perform, perform-to-transform" approach.
- Continuous and comprehensive assessment — formative and summative tests, quizzes and assignments, with instant auto-assessment.
- Real-life case studies, simulations and interactivities drawn from actual workplace situations.
